Complete List of FM Stations in a Small Resort in Kalirachi Skala, Thasos
t was a whirlwind trip to the island of Thassos, undertaken after some pressure and selection by the family, a long time – five years, in fact – after our latest trip to Greece. We stayed in Skala Kallirachis, Thassos, for only 48 hours before continuing our short vacation with another 24-hour extension in the main village of Limenas, Thassos (also known as the harbor of Thassos). Unfortunately, time was quite limited for any DXing activities.
Most of our time was spent swimming at various beaches and driving around the island's large hills, as well as enjoying some great meals with excellent service. In most villages, you can also find interesting things to buy as presents, such as hats, akane (a sweet delight), or even the juicy glyko karydi (walnut preserve), and various paintings of the island on cups or plaques.
The ferry crossing from Keramoti (shown above the island on the map) to Thassos island takes around 15 minutes and costs approximately 7 EUR per person and 20 EUR per car. (Total cost: 40 EUR for one family and a car

In short, this location is able to receive radio stations from Kavala and Xanthi. Kavala is shown on the map, while Xanthi can be located approximately twice the distance from Keramoti, at an azimuth of 25 degrees towards the east.
Any stations noted above in bold are locally relayed. All others require a fully deployed antenna or can be received outdoors. I had a brief but nice opportunity to hear an Arabic station on 93.9 MHz for about 10-15 seconds around 17:30 local time (14:30 UTC)
Radio used : PL330 with fully detached built in antenna. Strong stations with retractable antenna and using only earphones.PL330 is too trebly.
